Trudy is a demanding teacher who excels in taking her students to levels of skill and performance beyond their own expectations. Believing that young people should have the confidence to produce more than competent performances in exams, festivals and shows, they are rehearsed until they are the best they can be. Trudy is also an extraordinarily talented costume designer and seamstress. Costumes are therefore not only beautifully made but add a level of professionalism to the overall effect of performances which is the envy of other insitututions.
Trudy also believes in the positive effect that performing, and dance in particular, can have on her students in their every day lives. She is particuarly aware of how learning to dance can have positive outcomes for children who might have physical or learning difficulties.
