Leigh Sports Village Stadium will host the North West Counties Schools Cup Finals next Tuesday, 08 February.
Both the Boy’s Year 7 and Boy’s Year 11 finals will
be played consecutively and will feature two schools from Wigan. The
matches taking place are as follows:
- Year 7 Boy’s Final - St Peters High School (Wigan) v Rainford High (St Helens) – kick off 6pm (25 minutes each way, with 5 minutes for half time)
- Year 11 Boy’s Final - St Edmund Arrowsmith High School (Wigan) v William Beamont (Warrington) – kick off 7.10pm (30 minutes each way, with 5 minutes for half time)
This years Carnegie Champions Schools tournament has
seen a total of 1,678 teams participating from Year's 7 to 11 from the
North West, North East, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Midlands regions.
The matches are cash entry events, with spectators
needing to turn up and pay on the turnstiles. Entry to the match costs
£2 for adults and £1 for concessions and turnstiles will open from
5.00pm.
