Being an Independent not to be confused with

being a candidate for the ‘Independent Party’

makes it in my opinion at least 1000 times harder to get

yourself elected.  This is because one doesn’t have the major

advantage of a party machine’s backing.

Believe me this is true as I

tried it last year. It’s hellish hard.

Norman stood for what he sincerely believes in & works

very hard at it.

He does this despite all sorts of silliness

put in his way by certain parties to

prevent him from being successful.

He fights a good honourable fight for his LOCAL area. That is a stronger & more

successful Atherton. He also

believes in a much stronger & better

supported eastern side of this WMBC.

I have always wanted the

same for Leigh.  We must have a bigger& louder voice. Our 12 Councillors

should be seen more often out & about in Leigh itself.

If only shopping.  They are hardly ever seen on a daily basis in Leigh.

I ask them to help to bring about a much

higher profile for our town of Leigh & I also make

this request with great respect to the press.
