New council houses earmarked for Leigh, Greater Manchester

I may be new on this site. But, I have been reading many post's. I do agree with many of you. May I make my point.

Yes, we do need to keep our green area's, especialy for those with small children and wild life, to use with respect & recreational purposes.

I am in full agreement about this homes only go to the immagrants.....This definatly is not some thing any of us want....honesty of honesties.

On the other hand... there are many of us that are looking desperatly for good decent, safe housing, with agreeable neighbours.. I have become a single mother of three children. I am in my mid 30's...alot of area's, ie financies, housing, ect. Are still very new to me.

I REALY! do not intend nor want to be relying on benefits for too long. I have future plannes to get my but out to work and support myself & my children, PAY MY WAY IN THE WORLD.

But at the moment!, I am looking for housing, Il be honest, I only wish these houses were going to some one like myself. This would help me and my children greatly.

I am a good person and yes I am law abiding, id hate to be placed some where near unsavoury neighbours. But, lets face it, we cant avoid it some times.

I only ask for some of those out in leigh please please be a little more open minded.

Who are all these houses for, thats the question..... The population generally looks as though it is declining, so my guess is they're for immigrants..... I hope these houses aren't on green belt land either......

Leigh is turning into a massive housing estate with all our amenities being shut down and turned into housing, it disgusts me....... we need facilties not housing, like a Leigh Crown court, swimming baths, casinos, cinemas...... but of course they've all been replaced

This town needs a shake up!!!! Someone decent to atually run the town in the interests of a town, not running the town in the interests of foreigners

What hasn't been mentioned is that they want these houses mixed into private housing. This policy only works in favour of the council, housing associations and bad neighbours. Many owner-occupiers on recent developments are regretting their choice to buy, after the council or housing associations, etc. have allowed an ill-behaved tenant into the development. They suffer because of this behaviour, and either sell, at a massive loss to escape, or live in misery, putting up with it. The houses that are sold are then snapped up cheaply, for renting out, either by the council or housing associations and so the cycle continues, until you end up with a prestige development turned into a council "sink" estate, at minimum cost to the council and maximum cost to home owners and adjoining residents and aress. BAD IDEA!

first the tories sell them all off now labour start building more.when will these parties start doing whats right for the country instead of always trying to buy votes

Are they for local people or ilegals like the one in lord st leigh( ex casino building) I want one but unfortunately i work and have paid taxes for many a year speek english never claimed benefits not acceptable for one under looney marxist labour
