Man dies after coming off motorbike

At
3.24am on Monday 31 January 2011, police were called to Lovers Lane in Leigh
following reports a man had come off his motorbike.
Officers
attended and the 25-year-old man was taken to hospital, but died as a result of
his injuries.
No
other vehicle is thought to be involved.
A
number of road closures were put in place on Atherleigh Way and surrounding
roads but these have now been reopened.
Police
are appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to call the Road Policing
Unit at Leigh on 0161 856 7379.

He has been identified as Mark Bower, of Winstanley Road, Bamfurlong.
