A 14-year-old girl has died following a collision in Wigan.

Shortly

after 1.50am on Sunday 13 February 2011, police were called to School Lane

following reports of a collision.

Officers

attended and found that a Rover 25 had collided with a tree.

The

front seat passenger, a 14-year-old girl, suffered multiple injuries and she

was pronounced dead at the scene.

The

driver was uninjured and the three rear seat passengers suffered minor

injuries.

An

18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous

driving and remains in police custody.
