Intrepid explorers are once again invited to take part in the Glazebury
Garden Safari; which this year takes place on Sunday 12th September and has been
extended to 15 beautiful gardens which will be opened to the public for this
special charity event.
The Garden Safari has once again been organized by local nurseryman, John
Bent, from Bents Garden & Home and local garden enthusiast Delia Caswell.
It will raise money for two local churches; All Saints and Glazebury Methodist
Church.
It is the third year the Safari has taken place and this year includes five
more gardens bringing the total to 15. Visitors will enjoy broad sweeps of
colour; views over the Cheshire countryside and, hidden garden ‘rooms’, as well
as a display of vintage mowers, rare breed poultry, birds of prey and
waterfowl.
Those wishing to take part in the Safari can purchase a programme on the day
(£6) or in advance (£5) from Bents Garden & Home, Glazebury Methodist Church
or All Saints Church in Glazebury. The programme, which provides a route map
and descriptions of the gardens, will admit two people who can tour the gardens
at their leisure between 1.00 and 5.00pm. Tea and cake will be served
